1972 - 2007
Our Convention in 2007 will be a celebration and thanksgiving for 35 years of Marriage Encounter in England and Wales.
Since those first weekends in 1972 thousands of couples, priests and religious have experienced weekends.
Remember what your original Weekend did for you, how it changed your lives, how it introduced you to like-minded people with similar values and ideals. Think of all the friends you have made, and perhaps have yet to make, and how wonderful it will be to be together to share this celebration.

What is our Convention?
Our Marriage Encounter Convention is a time for all those who have made a Marriage or Engaged Encounter weekend to come, together with their families, to meet old friends, make new friends and to spend time enriching their relationships and having fun!
During the weekend there will be a series of presentations and workshops focussed on deepening relationships and spirituality. In the evenings there will be the opportunity to let your hair down and enjoy some social time together, chatting or dancing the night away.
The Convention will culminate with a Mass that will draw together all the different aspects of the Weekend.
Throughout the weekend there will be a number of activities provided for the children and young people,
Including Adventure Outreach for 9 years old and upward, and for younger children 0 – 8
there will be an appropriate range of fully supervised activities, indoor and outdoor. BOOK EARLY!
Where is it?
After the success of the 2001 and 2003 conventions we have chosen to use The Hayes Conference Centre. It is a Christian Conference Centre set in a beautiful location in Swanwick, Derbyshire.
In 2007 we will have use of the new state of the art Derbyshire Suite, which has a 600 seat conference hall, and additional meeting rooms to accommodate the children, plus a sports hall in case of bad weather.

So, what do you do if you hope to join us in 2007?
It is important for us to have provisional numbers as soon as possible, so please let us know if you would be interested in attending.
This form is not a booking form, we will be sending those out separately. This is simply to gauge the level of interest, as we hope that we will be able to book the Centre solely for our convention. (A maximum of 400 adults).
